Tips to users

We want you to make the most of our service. Check out these suggestions:

* Here are some ideas on how to collect emails from your customers: You can ask customers to drop their business cards in a receptacle. You can also hand out a small paper form where they can fill out their email addresses and then drop the forms in the receptacle. Or you can type customers’ email addresses directly into a computer. You decide the method that works best for you. Be sure to always store your customers’ email addresses in a safe place.

* Give your customers a heads up about the email survey invitations, so they know it is legitimate. We suggest you display a text on the box/form (or signage in your store) similar to: “We are committed to excellence in customer satisfaction. Please provide us your email address and you will receive an email invitation for an online anonymous survey. You may enter for a chance to win a $100 gift card sweepstakes. We appreciate your feedback.”

* To invite customers to the survey, just access your online account and import your customers’ email addresses (to be clear, you never need to email your customers directly). Within a few hours, we send them the survey invitation. Please submit emails only from your customers – your company does not want to be associated with spam (and Ojunto does not either).

* You may invite your customers to the survey as frequently as you want. We recommend surveying customers often enough to get the most information, but not so often as to upset the customer. As a general rule, infrequent customers should be surveyed every time they interact with you while regular customers should be surveyed every three to six months. Having the discipline to continuously invite customers to the survey is critical to obtaining meaningful insights.

* You can typically achieve higher response rates and receive more insightful evaluations if you submit the email shortly after you had an interaction with a customer, since the experience is still fresh in his/her mind.

* DO NOT suggest to your customers that they should give you a good review; after all, you want honest feedback. Comments like: “I count on your great review” will only jeopardize your own results and deceive yourself. Please instruct your staff accordingly.
